Anyone is allowed to list sought after items (start topics) in this forum. Inquiries will be removed 60 days after the original posting unless otherwise requested.
Please remember that only IPS Members can offer palms and plants for sale. And please do not suggest a vendor unless you are certain they are an IPS Member.
The IPS provides this subforum as a courtesy to all those interested in palms. When discussing new acquisitions, deals, or availability of palms/plants, please refrain from mentioning the names of Big Box stores, nurseries, or other outlets that are not IPS Members. Third parties will be permitted to mention the source, price, or availability of plants, seeds, or garden related products in the course of normal Forum discussions if directly acquired from or offered by IPS Members only. Promotional intent or language by third parties should be avoided.

Hi everyone, I've been on the hunt for plant/seeds of a king palm/bungalow/archontophoenix which had been rumored to withstand frost and freezing temperatures with no reported damage at 23 degrees (Inge Hoffman was stated to have collected seed from the Australian wilds which tested bullet-proof in her garden during the 90/91 freeze in the SF Bay Area). I'm searching for any seed of this palm variety if it exists. I'll be in Australia in March and will do some exploring but I thought I'd throw the idea to the members of this site - any thoughts? Learned about this palm species recently and now I can't stop thinking about it. I'm in Canada which makes for an extra challenge in finding them. Rarepalmseeds.com lists them as out of stock, and I can't seem to find anyone else who sells seeds for these. Assuming availability surges seasonally, when is a good time of year to look for them? Is there anywhere else to look? Are there any places in Brazil that export them? There must be some commercial availability somewhere if vendors can sell the plants? Of course if there is anyone here that has any that they'd be willing to sell to me, I would love to hear from you! Please and thank you 🙂

Hi everyone! I’m just starting out a palm project (nursery) in Jamaica!! With a small budget ($200 USD) to purchase some seeds and begin, I’m looking for rare trees that all well sought after. Hello!
