You must be designated as an IPS Member to list items (start topics) in this forum. You need to request this designation if you are a member. It is not automatic. Contact the Moderator.

IPS Members may not list items for trade from non-member third parties. When discussing new acquisitions, deals, or availability of palms/plants, please refrain from mentioning the names of Big Box stores, nurseries, or other outlets that are not IPS Members. Third parties will be permitted to mention the source, price, or availability of plants, seeds, or garden related products in the course of normal Forum discussions if directly acquired from or offered by IPS Members only. Promotional intent or language by third parties should be avoided.

Palms offered for trade may include a suggested value and/or desired exchange. Photos are encouraged. Listings will be removed 60 days after the original posting unless otherwise requested.

The IPS provides this subforum as a courtesy to all those interested in palms.

    I was reading in Palm Talk that R. xerophylla has become very scarce and there may not be any seeds available for years. Large specimans are now hard to find. I have a 10 gal. size that I've owned for about 5 years, and the plant must have been aprox 10 years old when I got it. I don't think it will grow outside in my harsh, wet, cold winter climate. I have adobe clay also, so I think it would be a death sentance to plant outside. I would like to see the palm growing in a nice warm, well drained place in S. Calif. I have babied this plant for 5 years, so I'd like to see it grow to its potential. Mine has been grown outside but overhead protection in the winter. It should …

    Hello All, I have two P. Roebelinii's that have to go. They are located in Merritt Island if anyone would like to come get them. The offset double is about 6' and 3' respectively. The even double is about 5'. These are trunk only measurements - add a couple feet with fronds. I really am not asking for money or anything, I just don't want them to become mulch.     Just harvested yesterday in the wilds of O`ahu. Pinanga coronata. Didn't count but I guess I have about 50 seeds. Not harvested yet. Still fresh on the tree and a beautiful dark blue.     I wish to obtain a few of the Len Geiger "Big baronii" seedlings from this link..........https://www.palmtalk.org/forum/index.php?/topic/54893-dypsis-big-baronii/&tab=comments#comment-888324 I can offer a great Anthurium species from Loja, Ecuador cloud forest, this plant is a well grown gallon size plant in a 4x6 inch pot. It is a second generation seedling from my original plant, collected in 1996. ( Let me tell you, it is a big deal to grow Anthurium from seed !) This is a true cloud forest Anthurium, so if you are in SoCal this plant would need filtered light and a more cool, humid spot. Here are photos of the seed bearing original plant.

    I have just got back from a collecting trip to Vietnam. I have Lanonia hexasepala, calciphila and maglonii seeds available. The haxasepala may be immature. Also Pinanga declinata and Caryota monostachya. I am interested in understorey palms and am interested in swapping for fresh seed of same or plants if aussie. PM me with offers but I'm also happy to grow these on. These should all be quite cold tolerant. Am happy to post to USA at receivers risk. Must be fresh seed to swap Steve

    Hi, I have some very fresh Lytocaryum weddellianum pollen. The infloresence popped last night and I left only the female flowers on it.
