These were sprouted from my own tree (first time it has fruited), they are adjacent germinators so they are very small right now, perfect for mailing. Interested in trading for Echinocereus, other aloes I don't have, or other palm seeds etc that I don't have. US only. Beachpalms@cfl.rr.com Thanks!

Ari from Darwin AU sent me some seed this spring off two of her trees. I am running out of room in my greenhouse. I have given many away but still have more. These are what I have for free: Jacaranda caucana - no one knows if this will grow here. Worth a shot. 8 left. Bauhinia acuminata - This one will grow here and is actually not an easy plant to find in SoCal. I should be selling these. 5 left. These are free but you must pick up. All are in 1 gallons.

Free Brahea
by Kim- 8 replies
- 2.3k views
This palm was grown from seed believed to be Brahea nitida(calcarea). However, it does not exhibit the B. calcarea white underside to the leaf, the leaf looks a bit stiff for a calcarea, and there is some slight armature on the petioles, so I believe it is a different Brahea. It was planted about a year ago, or slightly less, from a 1-gallon pot, and has put out maybe 6 new fans since then -- fast growth by my standards. The reason it is free -- and this is very important to note -- is because Brahea are known to be sensitive to transplant. I am willing to trench for a month to six weeks, but not longer. This is taking up prime space in the garden, and I have oth…

Free Sabal seeds
by AggiePalms- 22 replies
- 5.6k views
I've got some strange Sabal minor seeds to give away...I had a thread on here earlier this year about the mother plant; the leaves lay almost horizontal, the plant has only a few leaves at any time, but it grows new leaves like crazy, and hasn't increased in size much since I planted it in 1995 or so. No trunk or above ground development; all leaves are directly from the ground. I can supply photos, too. Very healthy, just an odd growth habit. Act now and I will throw in some Sabal palmetto seeds too. Two Sabal species for the price of one! ($0.00) Just give me your mailing address; these are very cold hardy seeds. I can probably supply 3-6 interested sprouters…
