When discussing new acquisitions, deals, or availability of palms/plants, please refrain from mentioning the names of Big Box stores, nurseries, or other outlets that are not IPS Members. Third parties will be permitted to mention the source, price, or availability of plants, seeds, or garden related products in the course of normal Forum discussions if directly acquired from or offered by IPS Members only. Promotional intent or language by third parties should be avoided.
All palms/plants/seeds offered for sale must include a price and size/quantity. Photos are encouraged. For larger venues or sales, such as nurseries, a link to a price list or a promise of listed prices "at the door" are required. Listings will be removed 60 days after the original posting unless otherwise requested.
The IPS provides this subforum as a courtesy to all those interested in palms.

I have been stepping up a lot of stuff, and a lot of germinated seeds for sale as well. I have a healthy quantity of C. umbraculifera seed germinated, ready to go into a deep pot or a one gallon. I have a couple rare and unusual madagascar spiny forest plants. Slow growing and drought tolerant caudiciforms. These have been growing outside in full sun through 2 winters. No shipping. I have seedlings of Centaurothamnus maximus for sale. The seed was originally collected from Mount Atlas in Saudi Arabia by Tom McCoy who occasionally posts here. This is turning out to a be a very cool and drought tolerant shrub/filler plant for Southern California. More people comment on these plants than any other plant in my gardne...honestly. I have a limited amount of only about 200 seeds to sell this year. 50/$9 + $3 US shipping($12 total) or 100/$18 + $4 ($22 total) US shipping. 100 are ripe now, the rest in a week. I like to send these out quickly with fruit still on as the don't like to dry out. So, clean, soak, then plant. Also, once they sprout, keep them on the dry side. I am checking what interest there is on these plants, but they will take some explaining. I will be buying a large collection of these plants and want to find how many people may be interested. The history, in the late 90s there were a few seed distributions that were supposed to be hildae seeds. Most turned out to be the brown emergent latifolias that I had available a month or so ago. These come from my 'single form' tree. Does this mean all the offspring will be single form? I don't know. I usually put several in a pot because I end up with more seedlings than I can use.
