I have two Macdonnelli that I germinated in April 2017 for sale. One just threw a new leaf and the other looks like it will throw another leaf very soon. They have been growing in 4x14" pots since they germinated. Price is $250ea as out of 100 seeds that I purchased only 21 sprouted, and a few of those didn't make it. This is not much more than what I have wrapped up in each remaining plant.

Dypsis madagascariensis ‘mahajanga’ SEEDS
by NatureGirl- 0 replies
I have a real bumper crop of Dypsis madagascariensis ‘mahajanga’ seeds for sale. The ’mahajanga’ form has proven to be much hardier than the regular form, (single & clustering).I had all 3 planted, when in the cold winter of 2010, I lost both of the regular forms. However the mahajanga sailed right through w/no overhead protection at all. It also differs in that the leaves are plumose, rather than on a single plane like the others. Seeds take time to germinate, up to nine months, haven’t figured out how to speed them up yet. $8/100 plus $3.50 US shipping $45/1000 plus shipping beachpalms@cfl.rr.com

Encephalartos arenarius x latifrons
by Palmzilla- 1 follower

I've got some really cool Encephalartos arenarius x latifrons hybrids for sale. Arenarius is the closest relative to latifrons so these guys should turn out really neat. Arenarius is often called the "poor mans latifrons" since it resembles latifrons but is way cheaper. Latifrons is one of the most sought after and perhaps most beautiful encephalartos and very expensive, usually they sell for $750 to $1000 per inch of caudex. These hybrids will look just like latifrons but are a fraction of the price. I have them in 1 g pots and they are about an 1'' or so now. They average 4-7 leaves and are very healthy and growing extremely fast with hybrid vigor. I am asking $75 on t…

Trithrinax Campestris and Brahea Brandegeei Liners Available!
by TexasColdHardyPalms- 1 reply
These difficult to germinate seeds are finally settling in. I have a limited amount of 1 leaf T. Campestris liners available and quite a few Brahea Brandegeei 1-2 leaf liners as well. These would be shipped with soil in tact to almost every state. Campestris are $8.50ea and Brandegeei are $4.75. Brandegeei will survive in Zone 8A with high heat and experience leaf burn at the same temperatures as W. Robusta and appear to be more bud hardy than Robusta as well. T.Campestris will spear pull like crazy when young similar to Trachycarpus but developing a vertical trunk they are leaf hardy to 10F and serious frosts/snows/Ice. T. Campestris has virtually identica…

A few people have requested that I bring them some Eucalyptus deglupta to the PSSC meeting this weekend. If anyone is interested let me know. I haven't posted these as for sale for a while because I can't seem to get them up to any size before people swoop in and buy them up, including people driving all the way down from the bay area . These are just so difficult to find for sale anywhere. I'm almost finished potting up the last of the seedlings into 5 gallons and moving them out into the sun, so I figure I'd let you guys know, because when these are gone there's no more. Most of them are smallish and sun acclimating to some degree or another, but they're growing s…

Book for sale - The Cycads by Whitelock
by TexasColdHardyPalms- 3 replies
I have the 2002 edition of The Cycads by Loran Whitelock that is in good condition. My son dropped a firetruck toy on the front and caused the only blemish to this book as shown in the pictures. The pages are in fantastic condition but the dust cover has a few tears and creases from pulling it in and out of the bookshelf over the years. Asking $160 for it.
