   hey, i'm new on the forum and wanted to ask for some help on how to search for a thread. The thread I'm looking for has photos/info about the recent palm sale by SFPS at Montgomery Botanical Center. It has a photo of a Coccothrinax Crinita wearing glasses that I wanted to show a friend... It'd be nice if I could just find all the past threads of the SFPS Palm sales at MBC. If theres anyone out there that can give me link of those threads that'd be awesome.

    Currently I use MS office picture manager to compress my pictures from my digital camera. I see many large photos on posts, but when I compress the photos and then upload them to the forum they look much smaller. Is there a better way to compress photos in size without making the photos smaller? thanks Bob

    Hello to everyone. This is my first post on this forum. I was a long time member of what used to be "gardenweb". I live in Farmington Hills Michigan and have been growing palms and other tropicals for about 11 years. Everything I grow is potted "although I have grown cold hardy palms in the ground before. I'm in zone 6A. I currently have a Trachy Fort., two 6 year old Bottle Palms (I started from seed), a Butia, A couple of Washintonia Filiferas I started from seed last winter, and a couple of Sabal Minors (got one to bloom for the first time last spring).Various other non-palm tropicals (including a lime tree and pineapple plant) Anyone else up here in the north with the…

    I've been on Palmtalk over 18 months and, I'm embarrassed to say, have not figured out how to caption individual photos (either above or beneath). Nor have I any clue how to stack captioned photos vertically, which many newbies do without problem. Consequently, my photos show up without captions and laid out horizontally. Please, would someone tell me how to caption & place my photos in an informative way in the future? Thanks.

    A video test made this week of the Phantom quadcopter and the GoPro camera - Brian Piccolo Park, Broward County - Florida A view of how flat the terrain can be. In some views to the east (sun in southern sky) you can see the large buildings along the coastline, about 14 miles away.
